Karl Gomes on the jury of AdFest 2009

Karl Gomes, NCD, Digital, Rediffusion – Y&R has been invited to be a member of the Cyber Lotus jury at AdFest 2009 to be held from March 19-21, 2009 at Pattaya.


This comes close to being a jury member at the Cannes International Advertising Awards last year.

Karl Gomes, said, “While In India, we are beginning to see a lot of integrated campaigns with digital playing an important role, Asia emerges as the pace-setter in creativity. This is not just because of the sheer size of the online population in the Asia Pacific region, but also the most advanced when it comes to participating in digital brand engagements and communities. Which is why, I am really looking forward to judging the Cyber Lotus.”

AdFest is the only regional advertising festival that originates in Asia by Asian for the Asian. Formally known as the Asia Pacific Advertising Festival, AdFest was solely created for the recognition, promotion as well as celebration of the diversity of Asian creativity.

Gomes joined Rediffusion in November last year after Arc Worldwide, the integrated marketing arm of Leo Burnett, where he was ECD, Digital, for more than a year.

Gomes has over 12 years of experience in the industry. He has been associated with the digital media space for a decade. He has also worked with Tribal DDB as NCD, during which, he won awards at events like the Asia Pacific Adfest, the Abbys, the AAAIs, the Webbys, the New York Festivals, the One Show and at Cannes.
