HP moves to OMD India following global review

Following the recent completion of Hewlett-Packard’s global media review, the global media planning and buying duties of the business were awarded to the Omnicom Media Group last week.

The account size couldn’t be ascertained but industry sources estimated it to be in the region of Rs 80-100 crore.

The India teams were also part of the global pitching. OMD India will now handle the account in India. Prior to this, Publicis Groupe’s ZenithOptimedia was handling the business across markets, including India.

The HP account will be one of the bigger businesses that OMD India will handle in its Delhi office. Although OMD India officials were not available for comment at the time of filing the report, sources familiar with the development said that OMD India would soon begin discussions on the handover of the business.
