Globosport India, the sport marketing and celebrity management agency, has started an events business under the brand Globosport Live.
The team is headed by national head – events Jeevan Nambiar, who was previously with Kingfisher Airlines handling brand activation. Other members of the team are AVP operations Sujoy Ganguly, who was previously TSM country head; Floyd D’Souza, who has previously worked with agencies like Grips Pro Events and Candid; Globosport Events AVP marketing Kaushal Upreti, who was Wizcraft south region head and Devinder Sablok, AGM – marketing, who was also previously with Wizcraft.
Globosport CEO Anirban Das Blah explains the reason for the new business, “While we have successfully executed large format sports events in the past, we cannot be the biggest entertainment management company and not have a serious events business. The launch of Globosport Live is a statement of intent.”
Nambiar says, “Our focus is to deliver positive brand experience to our customers and maximize our brand value to increase platforms for our celebrities, thereby creating a suitable value exchange with our clients and customers.”
The company claims that the move is a natural extension of Globosport’s business range and a step to becoming a one-stop shop for its clients as well as celebrities
