The Mirchi Kaan Awards, introduced in 2004 acknowledges and honours the best innovation in radio advertising, encouraging creative focus on radio advertising and building excellence in creativity in Radio. This year, Radio Mirchi focuses solely on Quality of Work with world’s renowned radio guru -Tony Hertz, Creative Radio Specialist.
Tony’s passion for radio has built up his career over 40 years and across six continents, as multiple agencies Creative Director and the boss of two Radio Specialist Outfits. At Mirchi Kaan Awards, he would be conducting a workshop on the art and craft of radio advertising.
With his experience, he has served twice on the Cannes Lions Radio Jury, on the 2011 D&AD Radio panel and as president of the Clio Awards Radio Jury. Apart from 22 Clios, multiple Gold and Silver ILR Awards, London International Awards and The New York Festivals Awards,Tony is also the only person to have won both D&AD Black and Yellow Radio Pencils.
The country’s most prestigious radio awards, Mirchi Kaan 2012 will work towards raising professionalism and talent among writers. And their new mantra – to listen, learn and shine.
