Afaqs: Yash Raj Films have welcomed Ashish Patil as the new creative and business head. He will report to Aditya Chopra the vice chairman and will head creative division set up to work on youth centric movies.
Ashish Patil holds a strong work background. He started his career in 1992 as a copywriter in advertising and then moved on to a business school to complete major in marketing. In 1994, Patil joined Lowe Lintas India (formerly known as SSC&B Lintas) in account planning and strategy. His stint with Lintas lasted for almost four years.
In 1998 Patil’s career saw a rise when he joined MTV in the marketing section and took charge of divisions like consumer, trade, and sponsorship. He was later handed responsibility of handling talent artist relations and music programming, show production, promos, content and creative duties. He was also involved in the P&L of the channel. He played a major role in bringing popularity to shows like Roadies and Splitsvilla. He is now serving a notice period with Viacom 18 and will take charge of his new role from April 1st.
