TBWA India has appointed Ambareesh Chakraborty as head, creative function for its western operations.
Chakraborty will be reporting to Madan Mohan, COO, TBWA India (west). He replaces Sean Colaco, who has joined hands with Aneet Coutinho at Creatively Active Communications.
Shiv Sethuraman, group CEO, TBWA India, said, “I have known and respected Ambareesh from the day he first joined the business. I am certain we will benefit from his immense talent and his ability to think beyond just TV.”
Madan Mohan added, “I believe Ambareesh, with his all round experience with ‘through the line’ solutions, will be an asset to the organisation. His challenge will be to make the creative product cutting edge and disruptive.”
Chakraborty said, “TBWA’s Disruption approach is unique, and finding ways to translate it into great creative promises to be exciting and fun.”
Chakraborty moves from Ogilvy Sri Lanka, where he was senior creative director. He has 12 years of experience in the business spanning advertising, CRM and exposure to digital. He began his career in 1996 with O&M, with stints at both Ogilvy and OgilvyOne.
