First time global award Judging will be held in India.
On 4th March,2009 a jury of marketing professionals, selected by Effie Awards India’s Ad Club Bombay for their global marketing experience, will convene in Mumbai. The judges will assess the marketing communications effectiveness of entrants to the 6th edition of the Global Effie competition.
The Global Effie Awards honor marketing communications cases that have successfully run across at least 4 countries and 2 regions worldwide. Ad Club Bombay was entrusted with managing the Asia Pacific session of the global award in 2009 because of its professionalism, its longstanding relationship with Effie, and its dedication to raising the bar in marketing communications. Mary Lee Keane, President of Effie Worldwide Inc., attested: “The Ad Club Bombay was first to launch a national Effie program in the Asia Pacific region, showing remarkable foresight in championing marketing communications effectiveness. It is truly an honor to be working with Ad Club Bombay’s leadership on the Global Effies this year.”
In addition to Mumbai, judging for the competition will be held in Buenos Aires, London and New York. The winners will be announced by Effie Worldwide, organizer of the award, at the annual Effie gala in New York in June.
In 2008, Bartle Bogle Hegarty (BBH) won top prize for Vaseline’s Keeping Skin Amazing. Ogilvy & Mather and JWT brought home trophies as well, for Dove Pro-Age and Kellogg’s Special K Drop A Jean Size Challenge respectively.
