Last year, IRF introduced the Rising Star Challenge presented by Tommy Hilfiger – exclusive Business Plan competition in Retail, in which 41 teams from 12 of India’s leading management schools participated.
This year, IRF Rising Star Challenge 2012 has gone bigger and grander! Planned as a big highlight at India Retail Forum, IRF Rising Star Challenge 2012 has received an over-whelming participation with 342 teams from 29 Management schools – IIM-B, IIM-A, IIM-S, ISB, Narsee Monjee, SJMSOM, TA Pai, MICA and more.
With this year’s theme – “Retail Innovation Meets Implementation” – talking about unexplored categories in the modern retail scenario, the teams presented their business plans to introduce, launch and scale up a new product, service or category of modern retail, and based on rigorous judging criteria and parameters, top three Finalists were chosen : ISB Hyderabad, IIM Indore and NMIMS Bombay.
