Afaqs: Lux has always been known to rope in actors on top. Katrina Kaif is one of obvious choice as she is currently ruling Bollywood. This sensuous beauty is the latest brand ambassador for Lux Purple Lotus and Cream a new variant from Hindustan Unilever (HUL).
“Lux, over the years, has been known for introducing exciting innovative variants for its consumers and here’s another such variant which is sure to appeal to consumers with its unique purple color and sensuous aroma. We look forward to this variant becoming a favorite amongst consumers across India,” says Sudhanshu Vats, vice-president, home care and skin cleansing, HUL, in an official statement.
This latest commercial has been directed by Marco and shot in Bangkok. Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy are the ultimate trio to lend their music score. The new series of Lux poses anti ageing properties and is full of vital beauty oils extracted from the Purple lotus.
“Lux has always used stars that are on top and even the stars realize that. Kaif was the obvious choice because she’s currently very popular and is endorsing the brand for the first time,” says Nandita Chalam, vice-president and senior creative director, JWT, who has worked on the team to create the new ad for Lux.
The last Lux ad had seen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan sizzle together on a soft number that caught good attention.
Lux has always been associated with film stars and tagged the product as a beauty bar. It is old traditions to get stars endorse the brand. Bollywood hotties like Hema Malini, Sridevi, Juhi Chawla, Madhuri Dixit, Priyanka Chopra and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have already been associated with Lux. To celebrate the 75 years completion, the brand had roped in actor Shahrukh Khan as the first male brand ambassador and to join him later was Abhishek Bachchan.
