The grapevine has it that the General Manager of Media Research Users Council (MRUC) Sabina Solomon, has put in her papers. The reason why she took this step is still unknown and the research body has not decided upon a replacement as yet.
Solomon was incharge of the functioning of the council which has representations from media owners, agencies and advertisers.
Holding a Masters in Marketing form Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Solomon has been involved in direct marketing, media and research.
Prior to MRUC, she worked with Carat Media and in 2003 Solomon became a media consultant and dealt with agencies like Law and Kenneth and AMO.
In the beginning of her career she worked extensively on direct marketing and ended up setting DataBasics along with a partner. DataBasics eventually merged with DIREM Marketing Services where Solomon was a board member as well as a shareholder.
