Network 18’s vice president and editor of news, sports and entertainment verticals, Roshan Tamang has called it the quits.
Confirming his resignation, Tamang states that he will be joining Times Group within the next 15 days. Unwilling to disclose his designation at the Times Group, he hints that he would continue to stay in the online space and but play a vast role in the areas of spanning content strategy, product development and editorial.
Tamang has garnered around 14 years of work experience. He worked with Times Internet as a news editor for two years after which he joined Network18 in 2005. He was a part of the team that conceptualised and launched IBNLive.com, the news portal of CNN IBN.
The product development as well as the editorial of Cricketnext.com and Buzz18.com was done by Tamang. He was also responsible for the editorial of portals owned by Web18.
Incidentally, Rishi Khiani who was the chief operating officer of Web18 also moved to Times Internet in August 2009 where he is the chief executive officer.
