RK Swamy/BBDO appoints Ambareesh Chakraborty as principal consultant

Ambareesh Chakraborty joins RK Swamy/ BBDO as principal consultant. Prior to RK Swamy/BBDO Chakraborty worked with TBWA India, where he was senior creative director and creative head and contributed to the launch campaign of Visa.
 
Chakraborty will be reporting to Sangeetha N, president (West) and executive director, RK Swamy/BBDO and will work at a senior creative director level.
 
Before working with TWBA, Chakraborty worked with Ogilvy in India and Sri Lanka. He last served Ogilvy as the head of creative at Phoenix Ogilvy & Mather, Sri Lanka, before returning to India in 2008.
In Sri Lanka, he handled clients such as Lion Beer, DHL, Ceylinco Insurance, NDB Bank, Smithkline Beecham and Coca-Cola.

A National Institute of Design graduate, Chakraborty holds his work for WWF’s Tiger Conservation project close to his heart.

On the appointment, Sangeetha N said in a press statement, “Our creativity revolves around moving the consumers to make a purchase decision for the brands we work on. Ambareesh’s appointment will surely augment our creative offering.”

Chakraborty added, “I have gone through the creative reels and the work done here. It has been an eye opener for me. The quality of work at RK Swamy/BBDO, and the focus on solving client problems, speaks volumes.
