Manajit Ghoshal gets promoted as MD, Mid-Day

Manajit Ghoshal, who has been working with Mid-Day for eight long years as CEO, Mid- Day Multimedia has been given the additional responsibility of MD of Mid- Day infomedia.

Mid-Day Infomedia includes the print and dotcom businesses and is a subsidiary of Mid Day Multimedia.

Ghoshal started working with Mid Day as CFO and became CEO of Mid-Day Infomedia in 2008.

Ghoshal will assume the new role on August 1 in Mumbai and will continue reporting to the board of directors. As a part of hid new job Ghoshal will be responsible for formulating board level strategies for the group.

Speaking about his promotion Ghoshal said, “The stint with Mid-Day so far has been brilliant. With new and bigger responsibilities, I look forward to leading and assisting the brand in implementing winning strategies.”

He further adds that his immediate game plan includes strengthening the digital space. “We have been growing at the pace of five times since last year. We want to focus on that medium and make it a profitable venture. Strengthening the language dailies of the group is also in our priority list.”

Ghoshal begun his career in 1994 with KPMG Consulting as senior audit consultant and then went on to work with H&R Johnson and Cadburys. He then started a HR portal, a dotcom venture, in 2000. Prior to joining Mid-Day, he was with CMS Computers as GM finance.
