Jiggy George quits Cartoon Network

After a stint of almost eight years, Jiggy George has decided to move on from the Cartoon Network family. George was the Executive Director of Cartoon Network Enterprises (CNE), and was also responsible for the theatrical business of the company. Sources informed that George’s last working day with Turner is July 31 2009.

George had joined the company as Senior Manager in 2001 for the off-channel commerce business. As is known, during his tenure, George set-up the licensing business of Cartoon Network in India, and under his leadership, India licensing & merchandising division became Cartoon Network’s largest unit in Asia. George can be credited for laying the foundation and growth of CNE in India. Last year, he took on the charge of setting up the theatrical unit in India, and was also the Turner Project lead for Sesame India – ‘Galli Galli Sim Sim’.

George has an overall of 16 year of experience in the media domain, where he also worked with companies like MTV India.
