Linkedin.com appoints NetworkPlay to monetise Indian traffic

Rammohan Sundaram, founder and chief executive officer, NetworkPlay, reports that, “The portal has already roped in Airtel and Citibank as advertisers and it will target advertisers across automobile, FMCG, consumer durables, telecom and technology sectors.”

He adds, “Only brand-related campaigns will be offered to advertisers and they will not be able to carry out lead generation campaigns.”

Advertisers will be allowed to target and reach consumers based on the type of industry and work they are engaged in. Advertisers will be able to choose from a range of advertising options including video ads, text and banner ads. In banner ads, the advertisers can choose between static, rich media and expandable banners.

Linkedin.com has more than 38 million registered members worldwide.
