According to reliable sources in the industry, Titus Upputuru is soon to join Dentsu India.
Upputuru quit as senior creative director at O&M Delhi in early January. Upputuru will look into the creative function for all of Dentsu’s agencies in India – Dentsu Marcom, Dentsu Communications and Dentsu Creative Impact.
Upputuru will report to Gullu Sen, vice-chairperson, Dentsu India. Neither Upputuru nor Senior Dentsu executives were available for comment.
Upputuru started his career in the copy department of Madhyam DMB&B (now Publicis India). After briefly joining Trikaya Grey (now Grey Worldwide), he worked for TBWA India (then TBWA Anthem) for five years. He joined Ogilvy in 2003.
At Ogilvy, he is credited with campaigns for Afghan Telecom, the Hutch Delhi Marathon, Sprite (Seedhi Baat), Kinley (Boond Boond Mein Vishwas), Kentucky Fried Chicken (especially Institute of Lickonomics), Fanta, Grasim Suitings, WWF, Dabur, Seagram’s and some brands of Perfetti Van Melle.
He has won several awards, including awards at the New York Festivals, One Show, Luerzer’s Archives and Abbys.
