The Dry Ideas contest, organised by Dainik Bhaskar and Divya Bhaskar, is in its fourth consecutive year. This year, the contest will be open to entries from amateurs from the creative field.
The contest started on January 21, and the last date for entries is February 16, 2009. The winner in the Professional category will get Rs 25,000, while the winner in the Amateur category will take home Rs 10,000.
Sanjeev Kotnala, VP, brand and communications, DB Corp., says, “The contest has garnered immense appreciation and support from the industry during the past few years. Our whole focus is to make individuals take on a ‘Zidd’ to avoid using wet colours and chemicals and in the process help conserve water.”
The contest is aimed at sensitising readers about water wastage and contamination during the festival of Holi. The contest attempts to involve the creative talent in the industry to help create communication and awareness about water shortage. It encourages readers to enjoy Holi with natural colours or gulal and thus prevent water wastage and pollution.
The winning entries will be a part of the Dainik Bhaskar campaign and on My FM from March 1 to March 13. Holi is on March 13 this year.
The Dry Ideas Contest is a part of Save Water, a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative of DB Corp., which has been active for the last nine years in states such as Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.
Last year, Concept Communications Mumbai was the winner, while DDB Mudra and Mudra Communications have both bagged merit mentions. Over 65 agencies participated in the contest last year with 250 creative submissions.
