Following a multi-agency pitch that saw the participation of agencies like Everest Brand Solutions and BBDO India, TBWA\India and OMD India have won the entire Nissan Motor portfolio.
The account size is estimated at upwards of Rs 20 crore. TBWA\India and OMD will work closely on the creative and media mandates for Nissan. The incumbent agency for the Nissan Teana business is AMO Communications.
The development has been confirmed by an industry source although there have not yet been any official comments.
Nissan Motors India is the Indian subsidiary of Japanese automobile manufacturer Nissan Motor Company Ltd. Nissan Motors India has dealer outlets in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Secunderabad and Chennai. The launch of the X-Trail signalled the start of the company’s operations in India.
Nissan is also planning to enter the highly competitive compact and small car segment. In 2007, Nissan Motor India announced the launch of its luxury sedan, Teana; the second model to be launched in India.
