TDI International India Ltd has been awarded the OOH advertising rights for Cochin’s green field airport with a bid amount of approximately Rs 70 crore.
The company refrained from disclosing the bid amount however the information was attained from sources closely related to the project. The contract holds for a period of years and it includes exclusive advertising rights for inside and outside the international and domestic terminals.
The other media owners bidding in for the same were Laqshya Media, Times OOH, Landmark Advertising (a South-based OOH company) and Peacock Advertising. However, Peacock Advertising was disqualified for not having any expertise in the field of airport advertising.
Vikas Bhambri, Vice President – Sales & Marketing, TDI International India Ltd, said, “TDI International has added India’s yet another green field airport – this one at Cochin – to its kitty. In a well contested open tender, the company has emerged as the winner and has been awarded advertising rights for the next seven years. With this addition, our company’s management has ensured a complete and composite presence in Kerala.”
He further said, “We have also bagged the exclusive outdoor advertising rights for the 5 km road that connects Cochin with the airport, but as of now we shall look forward to the number of billboards that would be erected in that stretch.”
This is TDI’s 12th major win, with the airport OOH advertising rights for Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Goa, Pune, Vadodara, Thiruvananthapuram, Amritsar, Jammu, Calicut and Tirupati airports already in its kitty.
