Krishna Prasad has been elevated as Editor of Outlook magazine. He will report to Vinod Mehta, Editor-in-Chief of Outlook magazine and also Editor-in-Chief of Outlook Group.
Mehta explained that this elevation filled the slot left vacant after the exit of Sandipan Deb and before that Tarun Tejpal. Deb left Outlook in August 2005.
Prasad was earlier Editor-Special Issues of Outlook and had headed the weekly’s Independence Day Special issue last month. He has been with Outlook for six years, except for a six-month break when he had joined Vijaya Times in Bangalore. He left Vijaya Times soon after Bennett, Coleman & Co Ltd acquired the Vijay Karnataka media house.
